Log Horizon

On May 3, 2018, thirty thousand Japanese players woke up inside Elder Tale, their MMORPG of eight years. The menus still work. Dying brings you back at the Cathedral, minus a little memory. Food tastes of nothing, there are no laws, and the game's NPCs have become people.

The canon timeline here covers the light novels, volumes 1 to 11, and the web novel's volumes 12 to 14. Each volume is an arc, with a beat for every chapter, on a 2018–2019 calendar. Volume 14 is the unfinished one. Play Shiroe, Akatsuki, Naotsugu, Nyanta, Minori, Touya, Krusty, Rayneshia, Kanami and more, or your own adventurer of any class and race, veteran or rookie. You can also be a Person of the Land, for whom death is final. Your Elder Tale status menu shows your class, subclass, guild, HP, MP and EXP, and it opens on every level-up.

Rated T by default, like the novels. Minor protection and a wellbeing guard are built in.
