1936: Eve of War
The world on 1 January 1936: 1,134 provinces and 80 nations, each with its own starting situation. Pick a nation, set how hard to mobilise and whether each war is an offensive or a defence and where the main thrust goes, write diplomacy and policy in plain sentences, and advance time. A rules engine settles every battle by strength, terrain and stability; the AI writes the news and plays everyone else. The real Second World War unfolds on schedule unless you change what made it happen. The AI never moves your nation without your orders.
