East India: A Place in the Rain

A room in a new neighbourhood. Rain on the awning. Someone has moved a chair so you can sit.

Explore Singapore and the wider Peninsular Community in 2100, in an alternate history where India remained one Union and the East India Company survived as a controversial, tightly bounded registry. Make your own adult character, find favourite places, and meet neighbours with lives and plans of their own.

Spend November getting to know four central characters and a wider supporting cast. Slow-burn romance, friendship and solitary exploration are all worthwhile paths. Conversations can change what people share, what you commit to and where the story goes next.

No history knowledge needed. Affectionate tone; intimacy fades to black. This game’s neighbourhood and new characters are an adaptation set before the novel’s events.
