Stargate, Magic, and Dungeons
Something is hidden beneath the ordinary world. In 1995, the Stargate is real, the stars are closer than humanity knows, and ancient secrets are beginning to surface. Beyond Earth lie alien civilizations, Goa’uld empires, forgotten ruins, living monsters, impossible dungeons, and powers humanity has not yet learned to name. Magic is real—but its true nature is tied to something older than human history.
The SGC operates behind a wall of secrecy, exploring worlds through the Stargate while quietly building the Adventurers Guild into a second line of defense and discovery. The Guild sends explorers into dungeons, hunts monsters, recovers artifacts, and finds the exceptional people the SGC may eventually recruit. Far beyond Earth, Ancient-derived city ships cross the Milky Way on missions of war, research, exploration, construction, and survival. In the distant Pegasus Galaxy, something far more dangerous remains dormant.
This is not a fixed story waiting for you to follow it. It is a living Stargate universe. NPCs have their own lives, factions pursue their own agendas, worlds change, expeditions succeed or fail, creatures migrate, dungeons evolve, wars begin, and discoveries can happen without you. Your choices become part of a persistent world that remembers.
Behind the scenes, the URPG RPG engine and world simulation run the machinery of that universe: tracking time, locations, characters, factions, relationships, events, quests, inventory, progression, discoveries, and consequences. The simulation maintains the world; you decide what your character does within it.
You are not required to become the hero of the Stargate program. You may become an adventurer, mage, explorer, soldier, researcher, trader, guild member, SGC recruit—or something nobody expected. The galaxy does not wait for you. It keeps moving.
The gate is open.
What lies beyond it is already alive.
