The Vampire Diaries: Mystic Falls

You took the job in Mystic Falls because it sounded quiet, and then the first week of September brings two bodies on the old road and the Salvatore brothers back in the boarding house on the hill. One of them walks Elena Gilbert home from school; the other sits at the end of the bar at the Grill and looks at your throat like he is reading a menu. By spring an Original in a good suit is making deals on your street, and by fall a thousand-year-old man with an English accent and a sketchbook knows your name. You play a newcomer of your own making, twenty or older, through the first three seasons of the show, and fall for Damon, Stefan, Klaus or Elijah while the town's history happens around you or changes because of you.
